Educated as a sociologist, one could say that it was director Kay Lindhout’s study of the human condition which led him to filmmaking. His personal approach to directing results in a style which beautifully and accurately translates life and its wonders onto camera.
A seemingly complicated concept is no match for Kay’s ability to bring a script to life. He believes in magnifying moments of intimacy and relatability. Be that for Samsung, Coca-Cola, or KLM.
Kay enjoys building on his bank of human behaviour by observing strangers and collecting snippets of their conversations. He is in touch with the world around him, which translates into dreamy yet naturalistic films.
